Let's preserve our environment together

This summer we made the responsible decision not to reopen our hotel swimming pool. Although this announcement may disappoint some of you, we wanted to explain to you the reasons which led us to this choice, in a sustainable development approach.

Solidarity in the face of climatic conditions

Based in the Pyrénées-Orientales, a department particularly affected by drought in recent years, we must preserve our water resources as much as possible. The swimming pool represents a significant consumption each year, both for its operation but also for its maintenance and water treatment. By not opening it, we are modestly but actively participating in the collective effort to protect this vital resource.

Savings reinvested in the future

The savings made in terms of energy, chemicals and drinking water will be entirely reinvested in even more eco-responsible projects: installation of solar panels, insulation of buildings, acquisition of electric vehicles... Our hotel wishes to become an example in matter of ecological transition in the long term.

Rich and authentic activities

For your pleasure and well-being, there are many water-free alternatives to the swimming pool: hikes, bike rides, discovery of local products... Come and fully enjoy our beautiful territory in a more authentic and environmentally friendly way .

You can also cool off naturally at the Cascade des Anglais in Vernet-les-Bains or at Lac des Escoumes in Vinça, located around 20 minutes from our hotel by car.

For those who wish to take advantage of a swimming pool, please note that the town of Vernet-les-Bains provides a municipal aquatic area just a 5-minute walk from us. Come discover the natural and cultural riches of our territory in an eco-responsible way.
